Coloured windows at the Cripta de la Colònia Güell, just outside of Barcelona. Colònia Güell was an artificial community founded in 1890 that combined both living facilities with work in a factory producing textiles. It is an example of social changes at the end of the 19th century that increasingly led to the idea that providing for workers was both a social imperative as well as a means to improve production. Abstract architectural image, shot on HP5+ and mirrored in Photoshop.
Another abstract, aiming to construct in a contradiction (I am trying very hard not to call it a supposition) that recalls both direct and inverse characteristics from the previous post. And a slightly more airy view. Leica M7 with ZM 1.5/50 on Ilford HP5+, processed in Photoshop by merging two images.
Trying something slightly different, with some architectural images shot on film and then modified in Photoshop. All of the grainy reality of film, only without the reality… The first of the set is an old cliché, but fun nonetheless.
Some images of the Edificio Niemeyer, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Quite an elegant design, and one which looks ideal for the hot sunny climate here. All images taken with the Ricoh GR, with the last one framed and cropped to help reduce perspective distortion.
